Growing up, she changed her mind a lot about what she wanted to do with her life. Actress, Veterinarian, Criminal Pathologist so when people ask her how she ended up opening a winery she smiles and says “I kind of fell into it”. As an only child she got to travel with her parents quite a bit and her wanderlust stemmed from her summers in Costa Rica. After graduating college, Lexi went back to Central America until she landed a job with Norwegian Cruise Lines as a server on their Hawaiian ship. She loved Hawaii but wanted to continue to travel so, so she took a winter seasonal job with Hyatt in Vail Colorado. She then transferred to two other locations and held multiple positions within the company. While Lexi was away working around the country, her parents started home wine making with a long time family friend.

During a visit to see Lexi in California, her parents proposed to her starting her very own business on the family property in Sebring a winery/event venue. After several months and many phone discussions construction on Secret Garden Winery and farm broke ground.

In 2017, Lexi transferred back to Florida with Hyatt to be able to commute to help with the design and business plan. They opened their doors on November 9, 2019 after two years of hard work on the land and the wine. Lexi says “The most rewarding part of my job is watching the people walk in to the barn and compliment how beautiful it is”. “Even more rewarding is hearing that they love all the wine and having regulars and loyal guests that come back weekly”.
